Psalm 107:1-22
Hey New Life,
Hope your week is going well! Today's Daily Bible passage (Psalm 107:1-22) comes from our Calls to Worship the past few weeks. We see various aspects of our salvation, fulfilled in Jesus.
Salvation is described as sinners redeemed (v. 2), the wandering gathered (vv. 3-4), the hungry fed (vv. 5, 9), the thirsty given drink (vv. 5, 9), the distressed delivered (v. 6), and the imprisoned freed (v. 14).
This describes our salvation through Jesus Christ. He was exiled, so we can be gathered. He was hungry and thirsty on the cross, so we can be satisfied. He was imprisoned and nailed to the cross, so we can be set free. He took on our sin and shame, so we can have eternal life.
If we have experienced this salvation in Christ, it leads to thanksgiving (vv. 1, 15, 21), offering (v. 22), and praise (v. 22). Let us give thanks and worship the Lord for this redemption this week!
In Christ,
Pastor Tim
