There is dignity in work, because it is part of our image of God. But because of sin, there is toil. It does not satisfy us or give us true meaning. Also, all that we have gained will not be taken with us in our death. With God, we are able to enjoy His gifts. With Christ, our work can be redeemed, as we look to the Last Day when He will make everything right.
