1.) Read Acts 6:1. What was the problem that was happening in the early church at Jerusalem? How do such problems arise in the church today?

2.) Read Acts 6:2-4. What two distinct duties were (and are) needed in the church? Why was the body to "pick out" candidates?

3.) Read Acts 6:7. What was the result of the appointing of the seven? Does the same still apply to the church today, and how might this look?

4.) Elders and deacons are ordained offices, but the entire church body is called to do the work of ministry. What's one way you might participate in this work?
